After a long day of work, kids, and everything else life throws at us, all I want is to sink into a tub and envision myself at a spa. By adding a few luxurious yet practical items to your bathroom, you can have a daily relaxation escape a few steps away. I’ve included a few things into my bathroom that you can incorporate as well.
The Bathtub in your Oasis
First things first, the tub. This is an item you should absolutely splurge on. It’s going to be a visual staple in the bathroom as well as your haven. The tub can appear as a work of art in your bathroom and can be as visually different as you prefer. The eye will immediately be drawn to it. A larger soaking tub is my personal favorite as there will never be too little room for you, the husband, or the kiddos. Take a look at the tub we decided to go with in our oasis.

The Decor
Keep things minimal in the bathroom. This helps provide a calming, neutral environment while also appearing clean and organized. Vibrant splashes of color aren’t necessary here as they can draw attention away from the main goal: relaxation. Always add a touch of greenery, whether that be flowers or a current bathroom obsession: Eucalyptus.

The Organization
1. Matching Toiletry Dispensers
What really adds a sophisticated and spa-like ensemble in a bathroom is matching soap, lotion, and toiletry dispensers. This is very easy to do with either Amazon finds or a more upscale curated shop like The Polished Jar. The Polished Jar also has an assortment of plastic bottle options (for kids), beautiful display trays, and body scrubbing brushes. Literally all the accessories you need for a spa inspired bathroom.
2. Unique Shower Caddies
Using shower caddies that attach to the wall instead of hanging from the shower faucet adds a unique twist to the standard bathroom. It also keeps your products and bottles dry and mess-free. The height of them is also easily adjustable while hanging ones are not. You can arrange them stacked or in a staggered pattern.
3. Countertop
Using small glass holders for things like Q-Tips and cotton balls is much more appealing than storing underneath the sink in their original containers, and more practical if you use those items daily. I also love beautiful and unique jewelry holders or using pretty earring plates to place my rings and other jewelry on. This eliminates visual clutter on the countertop. Spa inspired bathrooms are clean and clutter free!
4. Drawers
Drawer organizing trays are a game changer, and my belief is that each and every drawer in your home should have a set or organizers in it. Accessibility mixed with aesthetically pleasing organization? Count me in.
